sometimes i think that if i stop writing songs that i'll lose all of my abilities. if i push back on that urge to describe how i am hurting, could i repress it? could i feel better? sometimes i think about how as a kid i was terrified that there would be a fire and i'd have to jump into a pool to stay safe from the fire but then having to come up for air
the two fears are similar and i don't have much to latch onto anymore
lyrics
shark circling the drain
if i stopped would i feel the same
flames creep across the surface
god's sleeping on my floor
